Tilikum Crossing in Portland, Oregon

I spent Christmas morning freezing to get this shot near OMSI of the first U.S. designed bridge that only allows pedestrians and bikes. The name pays homage to the local Chinook term for "people". Also this bridge is lit every morning and night and looks amazing!

To The Gorge!

I spent some time in the majestic Columbia River Gorge.  I love being out here both as a tourist in the fall and winter and a park ranger in the spring in summer.  The main attractions I saw today were the 620 foot tall Multnomah Falls and Viento State Park's river access.  My favorite part of the "Gorge" is how it not only changes landscapes within 20-30 miles of driving, but also how the seasons change the land as well.  +1 my page if you want to see more photos like these!
